Kelowna Tournament 2010
Pre-Season Game – March 27, 2010
The West Coast Saints will fine-tune their premiership defence with their first practise matches this Saturday. The Saints will line-up at the UBC rugby fields starting at 1PM and will play two matches, each consisting of two 15 minute halves.
Several premiership heroes who are leaving Vancouver will be farewelled on the day, including Adrian Pell, Murray Foltyn and Michael Deer. A barbecue and refreshments will be provided.
The team will then head for dinner at the Sin Bin, where the hockey and UFC will be shown.
The Premiership Hangover
The West Coast Saints are planning to overcome the dreaded premiership hangover the only way they know how, by replacing it with a real hangover!
The Premiership Hangover, at The Sin Bin on February 6 2010, is the club’s first major function of 2010. It will also act as a membership drive, a farewell to a favourite son
Richie “Winmar” Ferri- who will be signing pictures for fans-, and hopefully an unveiling of the new footy gear for the upcoming season.
The day will feature drink specials, raffles and prizes.
Playing and social memberships will be available on the day, so bring your cash and or cheque books and get on board!
A playing membership, which costs $150 for the year, includes:
- Insurance to play;
- Shorts and socks;
- Limited edition member 2010 t-Shirt;
- Stubby holder;
- Membership Card (Which entitles the holder to a discount at our main sponsor, The Sin Bin);
Meanwhile holders of $30 social memberships will not have to worry about lining up at Saints games. They will receive free tickets, guaranteed front row seats and access to players for autographs and photos, as well as a t-shirt and stubby holder.

The West Coast Saints premiership defence has begun.
Pre-season training started Wednesday night with encouraging numbers eager to work off the Christmas spread. More than 20 players were put through their paces by acting coach Scott Sheen at the first session at Mount Pleasant Elementary.
Among them were several new faces including Reggie, Owen, Graeme and Andrew. Anyone who missed training is urged to attend the next session.

Anzac Day – BC Footy Cup
This Saturday is the prestigious BC Footy Cup, in a tournament out at Burnaby’s home field in Langley against the Eagles, Cougars, West Coast Saints, Seattle Grizzlies, and Calgary Kangaroos. All are welcome! Bring the family out for a full day of footy!
A massage therapist from Legacies Sports Massage will be on hand for pre and post game massages. Cost is $20 for 15 minutes.

NWPAFL Round 1 – This Weekend
The NWPAF Season gets underway this weekend, and if you haven’t heard, the BC Footy League has expanded to 5 teams!
This season will see the introduction of the North Delta Bay Hawks and the Irish Harps. They will join last year’s newcomers the West Coast Saints and the veteran teams of the Burnaby Eagles and the Vancouver Cougars!

Both games are at UBC next to Thunderbird Arena, where we played in the Grand Final last year. After that, off to Mahoney’s for a few beers.
Saints Footy Pub Crawl
We’ve been training solid for the last 6 weeks and thought *shit* we haven’t even had a chance for a good old Pub Crawl… So we asked coach Ward Frost what he thought of the idea … “HELL YEAH!”
